On December 13, 2005, Morgan gave birth to a litter of puppies. We were accepted as the caregivers of "Yellow Boy" who became Jonah when we brought him to our home in Wonder Lake, IL. Next Sunday, Jonah will turn four years old, and I'm writing to tell you how happy we are with Jonah. He is one smart, loving, and companionable canine. We love him dearly. You should see him "high five" family members; or ride in the belly of our canoe on lakes and streams. That's why we called him Jonah; we knew he'd go along on our canoe trips. In fact, Jonah travels a lot with us. He's been to Canada, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Connecticut, and this summer he met the Atlantic Ocean in North Carolina. As we expected, since he's a golden, he is as gentle as could be, but shows great energy when it comes to hiking mountain trails or simply walking a nature trail in our county. I've had a number of dogs in my life of 63 years, and I've enjoyed them all, but none has been a better friend and companion than Morgan's little pup born on Dec. 13, 2005.
